ECU 521192.11 (ECU )
Code: 521192.11
Shortcode:
Description:
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if one of the following conditions occurs:
- The key is held in the ELX position for more than 2 seconds with the engine running.
- The voltage supply (ELX) is not present at the engine control unit, cab control unit, or immobilizer control unit with the engine running.
- The engine is started 7 times with the wrong key.
- Communication via the CAN Bus is not possible.
Reaction:
The control software may have limited or no function, leading to an engine shutdown and potentially causing operational disruptions.
Recommendations:
- Inspect Key Operation: Ensure the key is not held in the ELX position for more than 2 seconds while the engine is running. Replace the key if necessary.
- Check Voltage Supply: Verify that the voltage supply to the engine control unit, cab control unit, and immobilizer control unit is stable and within specifications. Repair or replace any faulty wiring or components.
- Use Correct Key: Ensure that the correct key is being used to start the engine. If the wrong key has been used, switch to the correct key and reset the system.
- Test CAN Bus Communication: Use diagnostic tools to test the CAN Bus communication between the control units. Repair any faults or interruptions in the CAN Bus wiring or connectors.
- Reset ECU and Monitor System: After resolving the issue, reset the ECU to clear the fault code and monitor the system to ensure normal operation.
Note:
Proper key usage and maintaining stable voltage supply and CAN Bus communication are crucial for preventing engine shutdowns and ensuring smooth vehicle operation.
