EPC 001713.02 – B111 Sensor for Hydraulic Oil Filter, Fault
EPC 001713.02 (EPC 1713.02)
Code: 001713.02
Shortcode: 1713.02
Description:
This error code, EPC 001713.02, is generated when, with an open filter alarm level 1 switch (350 kPa; 3.5 bar; 51 psi) at the hydraulic oil filter, the filter alarm level 2 switch (450 kPa; 4.5 bar; 65 psi) at the hydraulic oil filter has been closed for more than 3 seconds at a hydraulic oil temperature above 28°C (82°F) and an engine speed above 700 rpm. This indicates a sensor problem or a dirty hydraulic oil filter.
Reaction:
When this error is detected, the hydraulic system may experience reduced performance due to potential blockages or sensor faults, leading to potential overheating and damage.
Recommendations:
Inspect Hydraulic Oil Filter:
- Check the hydraulic oil filter for any signs of dirt or contamination. Replace the filter if it is found to be dirty.
Test B111 Sensor:
- Use diagnostic tools to test the hydraulic oil filter sensor (B111). Replace the sensor if it is found to be faulty.
Verify Switch Functionality:
- Ensure that both the filter alarm level 1 and level 2 switches are functioning correctly. Replace any faulty switches.
Check for Blockages:
- Inspect the hydraulic oil lines and passages for any blockages that could restrict oil flow. Clear any obstructions found.
Reset and Test System:
- After addressing the issues, reset the system and monitor the hydraulic oil filter status to ensure the error code does not reoccur.
Note:
Regular maintenance and inspection of the hydraulic oil filter and its associated sensors are crucial for ensuring reliable hydraulic system performance and preventing sensor faults.
