The John Deere S120 Lawn Tractor, launched December 1, 2021 at the John Deere plant in Greenville, Tennessee, is part of the John Deere 100 Lawn Tractor Series. Ideal for use on small to medium-sized lawns.
The S120 Lawn Tractor features a Briggs & Stratton 44H677 (M44) air-cooled, 22 hp (16.4 kW) twin-cylinder, 724-cc V-shaped gasoline engine with electronic ignition for quick starting and the John Deere Easy Change 30 Seconds oil change system that makes changing engine oil easy, quick and clean. Changing oil is as easy as putting on a new oil filter. There is no need to drain the oil from the engine. According to the manufacturer, it doesn’t take more than half a minute to change.
The S 120 is equipped with a Kanzaki Tuff Torq TLT200 hydrostatic transmission made by Kanzaki Kokyukoki Mfg. Co., Ltd.
It is capable of speeds up to 8.9 mph in forward travel and up to 5.2 mph in reverse.
The S120 lawn tractor is equipped with a 42-inch Edge cutting deck with side discharge, which is suitable for small lawns. The cutting deck is made of durable 13-gauge, 0.09-inch thick steel and features two StarLock quick-release blades.
The John Deere S120 has a comfortable, adjustable two-piece seat with a high, open back for operator ventilation and cooling. There are two springs under the seat for comfort when driving off-road.
Optional equipment for the S120 mower includes a mulching kit, 6.5 bushel rear grass catcher box, snow removal equipment, 25-gallon sprayer, spreader, operator weather protection hood, sun visor and bucket holder.
