The Origins of Heritage Tractor

The story of Heritage Tractor began in the late 1990s due to increasing agricultural equipment sales. John Deere chose Baldwin City, Kansas, for a new dealership, thanks to its large agricultural workforce and proximity to Kansas City. Ken Wagner was approached by John Deere for his advice and leadership on this venture, and he agreed to participate in this new project.

In 1998, the first Heritage Tractor location opened on a 17-acre property just outside Baldwin City. Initially, the business operated out of a small job trailer while the main building was under construction. Despite the humble beginnings, the business quickly took off, adding service and inventory trailers to the property before completing the main building later that year.

Two Decades of Growth and Commitment

More than twenty years have passed since those early days, and Heritage Tractor has grown significantly. From a few trailers on a lot, they have expanded to offer not just products, but also good service, honesty, and integrity to every customer.
