** These are the software and hardware requirements for your notebook computer, for proper and uninterrupted Service Advisor John Deere operation.
For proper and convenient trouble-free operation of Service Advisor John Deere, whether the web version or the downloaded version, you must, read the basics:
- Have or purchase a laptop computer with the appropriate settings. It is your laptop, not your desktop or tablet, that you need in order to fully utilize all of the features of Service Advisor John Deere software
- To use the web-based Customer Service ADVISOR, you must have a continuous connection to the internet.
- There is no way to connect to John Deere equipment in real time from mobile devices such as phones or tablets.
- John Deere’s Service ADVISOR has not been tested for compatibility with similar software from other vendors, nor has it been tested for compatibility with service tools from other manufacturers (competitors).
- Please note that Customer Service ADVISOR works only on Windows operating systems when installed on a laptop.
Laptop requirements for a fully functional downloaded version of Customer Service ADVISOR:
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 8.1 or higher (at the time of writing, version 8.1 and 10 were tested). 64 bit – versions.
Internet browser: Google Chrome or Windows Edge Chromium
Software: Adobe Reader 32bit version – to run the service advisor.
OS bit capacity: 64bit
RAM: 8GB or more
PROCESSOR: Core i5, or higher. Please note that the processor architecture must be Intel.
Hard drive preferably an SSD from 500 GB with free memory:
- For the Ag version, from 254 GB;
- For the Turf version – from 133 GB;
- For the C&F version – 194 GB;
- For the Power Systems version, 194 GB;
WARNING!!!
** When using an external drive, the internal hard drive must have at least 25 GB of free memory.
Network: 10/100/1000 network adapter, it is better to use wireless internet connection technology, WiFi, 3G,4G,5G , LTE for convenient operation.
Ports and interfaces:
- 2 USB 3.0 ports ( 2.0 is possible)
- RS-232 interface, called Serial port or COM port ( Optional adapter to connect to USB COM/USB port can be used)
- Bluetooth with WIDCOMM driver – for wireless connection to EDL interface.
Minimum screen resolution: 1024×768, please note that screen resolution in any dimension less than 650, will lead to inaccessibility of some functions (split screen, data point tables, etc.).
Requirements for mobile devices to access the web version of Customer Service ADVISOR (web only, not connected to a no connection to the vehicles):

- Screen resolution: 320 x 480 (minimum, but it is better to use from 650)
