John Deere AutoTracTM

Easier use of AutoTracTM in mixed fleets

Posted on July 20, 2022August 18, 2022 by John Deere News

Farmers and contractors with a multi-manufacturer fleet can now take advantage of John Deere AutoTracTM TIM (Attachment Management System) activation on Generation 4 Universal Displays.

This means that the proven AutoTracTM guidance system can be used on all tractors with a TIM system certified by the Agricultural Electronics Foundation (AEF). Until now, the best-known guidance solutions for fleets of different manufacturers have been the AutoTracTM Universal 300 and Reichhardt GREEN FIT systems. The new AutoTracTM TIM system is a fully integrated offering that complements previous solutions. Its main advantage is that there is no need to retrofit the tractor with additional steering wheel or controller components.

It’s a simple solution for farmers and contractors with mixed fleets who want a universal guidance system. To run the AutoTracTM TIM system, you need an AEF Certified Generation 4 Universal Display (4240 or 4640) with AutoTracTM activation and a StarFireTM 6000 or 7000 receiver.

More and more manufacturers provide the AEF TIM interface for their tractors. With ISOBUS, John Deere opens its tractor steering to other manufacturers with AEF TIM certification. Detailed information on John Deere AutoTracTM TIM compatible machines can be found in the AEF database.

As soon as AutoTracTM TIM is launched, the system has the following additional features: If your machine (of any brand) has a JDLinkTM modem, you can exchange data wirelessly and free of charge with the John Deere Operations CenterTM. You can configure, schedule, monitor and analyze workflows in one online portal. In addition, customers can benefit from precision farming technologies such as mapping agrotechnical treatments. These can then be sent directly to the tractors in the field using John Deere AutoSetup. By activating AutoTracTM TIM, John Deere opens up to other manufacturers and shows that it continues to be of great importance. In this way, the company enables customers – especially those with mixed fleets – to use John Deere solutions for agriculture with ease.
