TIA 000191.19 – Incorrect CAN BUS Message, Transmission Output Speed from PTA Control Software

TIA 000191.19 (TIA 191.19)

Code: 000191.19

Shortcode: 191.19

Description:

This diagnostic trouble code is generated when the PTA (Powertrain) control software fails to register any transmission output speed, preventing it from providing accurate data to the CAN BUS. A transmitted replacement value triggers this DTC in the TIA control software. This issue also generates a corresponding DTC in the PTA control software, which takes priority.

Reaction:

Limited or no function of the control software, affecting vehicle performance and diagnostics.

Recommendations:

Inspect PTA Control Software:

  • Verify the integrity and functionality of the PTA control software.
  • Reinstall or update the PTA control software if necessary.

Check CAN BUS Communication:

  • Inspect CAN BUS wiring and connections for any damage, corrosion, or loose connections.
  • Repair or replace any faulty wiring or connectors.

Verify Transmission Output Speed Sensor:

  • Check the transmission output speed sensor for proper operation.
  • Replace the sensor if it is faulty or damaged.

Consult Technical Support:

  • If the issue persists, consult technical support for further diagnostic procedures or to determine if there is an underlying issue with the control software or hardware.

Note:

Regular maintenance and inspection of the CAN BUS system and related sensors can prevent issues related to incorrect CAN BUS messages. Ensuring all control units are properly synchronized can also help maintain system integrity.
