John Deere to Support American Farmers Again with Busch Light

Busch Light and John Deere, two of the best-known companies among farmers, are joining forces this season to support Farm Rescue,
a nonprofit foundation that provides assistance to farmers who find themselves in crisis situations.

Busch Light and John Deere, together launched two projects with which they plan to raise funds for Farm Rescue and to raise awareness of the issues and challenges facing farmers in times of crisis.

1st: A limited-edition special edition “For Farmers” beer. Will be available at participating retailers from May 16 through July 3. Consumers can purchase cans of Busch Light beers packaged in 24 or 30 12 oz. cans of beer with stunning John Deere-inspired agricultural graphics, the John Deere logo and a picture of John Deere equipment. For each limited-edition case sold, Busch Light will donate $1 to Farm Rescue, up to a maximum of $100,000, and John Deere will match that donation, meaning Farm Rescue will receive up to $200,000 in funding.

The 2nd event worth mentioning is the Cornfield Cornhole: organizers are invited to join a free one-day event on Saturday, May 21, in Big Bend, Wisconsin. There will be a slingshot set up on the ground at the event, aided by a John Deere tractor , through which hay bales will be launched across the cornfield onto a huge cornhole board.

In addition, participants can play a traditional corn hole, and two lucky participants will have the opportunity to compete in a large-scale game. To participate and possibly earn a spot in the big game, consumers can reserve tickets starting May 11 at Busch.com/forthefarmers.

About Farm Rescue:

Farm Rescue’s mission is to help family farms and ranches overcome the crisis so that they can continue to operate viably. Farm Rescue provides planting, hay harvesting, harvesting and livestock feeding assistance to farm and ranch families who have experienced serious injury, illness or natural disaster. Since our founding in 2005, we have helped more than 800 farm and ranch families! One of the biggest financial losses to a family is an unexpected medical injury or illness and, of course, a natural disaster. This is even more pronounced on the farm, where a family’s livelihood depends on their ability to plant, harvest or provide for their herd.
Farm Rescue empowers families to continue making a living by providing the necessary equipment and manpower (for free) to do the work.
