John Deere will give $45.2 million to promote renewable energy in Argentina

The trust will use the proceeds of a $45,210,000 Class A debt securities trust to install photovoltaic panels at dealerships of Ricardo Venturino, the official representative of John Deere in Argentina, in the cities of Isla Verde, Venado Tuerto, Arias and Casilda.

The renewable energy project aims to return the matrix of 100% non-renewable energy to a more active relationship with the environment, in particular by 2022 the goal is to reach 40% of renewable energy, leaving the target of 2030 to reach 70% of renewable energy.

Reduce the use of energy from the grid, which provides environmental benefits such as climate change mitigation and adaptation, biodiversity conservation, resource conservation and control of air, water and soil pollution.

Legal advice for the creation of the trust was provided by the law firm Nicholson y Cano Abogados, which intervened through a team consisting of partner Mario Kenney and lawyer Juan Martin Ferreiro.

While Rosario Administradora Sociedad Fiduciaria SA acted as trustee and Ricardo Venturino SA acted as trustee, administrator and collection agent in the issuance of $76,949,465 worth of trust securities, as authorized, September 30 by the National Securities Commission (CNV) .

Meanwhile, Tarallo SA acted as arranger, financial co-consultant and placement agent. While Banco Supervielle SA and Banco Mariva SA acted as placement agents.

Finally, it is worth noting that the trust’s Class A debt securities qualify as green trust securities and are listed in the Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos SA group of green, social and sustainable bonds.
